Blog #13: Magazine Cover Layout Draft

Image
Magazine Cover Layout Draft Hey guys! Today I am showing you all my drafts for  Magazine Cover. I included all the colors, fonts, and font sizes I wanted. I added cover lines on the sides, the main articles on the left, and the minor ones on the right. There will only be a central image because I don't like clutter.

Blog #12: Magazine Style Guide

Image
Magazine Style Guide Hey guys! For today's blog, I have created a magazine-style guide on Canva. I made this to show y'all the style I want my magazine to be and improve my Canva skills. I named all the fonts I wanted to use for the elements of my magazine. I included the MastHead, Coverlines, Article headlines and subheadlines, and the caption details and headers. I wanted to use neutral colors for my color palette but add details that would also make it pop.

Blog #11: Canva Practice Page

Image
Canva Practice Page Hello Loves! I'm back with another blog, which will be about me practicing for the real magazine spread I will eventually make. Today, I've made a one-page spread through Canva. I used multiple elements. For example, I added the blobs on the sides and the diamond and wrote a short/simple feature on the K-Pop idol, Hwang Hyunjin. I made this spread minimalistic because the pictures I used are minimal, and the color usage was also determined by the colors of the pictures.

Blog #10: Photo Planning

Image
Photo Planning Hey everyone! Today I'm going to talk about my planning my photoshoot for my Magazine. I created a visual representation on how I plan my photoshoot to go, as well as my inspiration for everything. To sum it up, my main inspiration is my culture and tradition. I am going to be using two different cameras to see which pictures came out better. My main challenges are going to be posing the models, the lighting, and focusing the pictures to get the best possible result.

Blog 9: Feature Plan

Image
Feature Plan Hey everyone! Today I'm going to lay out all the parts to for my main feature stories. A feature plan is mapping out exactly what you want in your story, without missing any details. There are two steps: 1) listing the possible topics for your feature and narrowing it down to one. 2) Finding sources to use to include in your feature, for topics people may not have the knowledge in. Step 1: List of Possible Topics: Birthday Outfits Nieces Baptism Outfits Wedding SZN Choosing the Right Outfit Easter Outfit Planning Topic/Idea Selected: Birthday Outfits Why: I chose Birthday Outfits as my topic because for my birthday, I wore multiple outfits that were my traditional clothes and I can go into depth about each outfit and pieces of them as well.  List things your audience already  knows about your topic: My audience will already know that most teenagers go above and beyond for their birthday, so they'll expect something big. Also, there is an "s" at the end...

Blog #8: Target Audience

Image
Target Audience Hey Everyone! I'm back from spring break and am going to continue working on my magazine portfolio. I'm going to be talking about target audience in today's blog.   A t arget audience is   the group of people you are trying to reach with your marketing efforts. I will get right to it but, there are a few things I want to make official. The official masthead for my magazine is Discover Designers. The meaning of this masthead is to discover the different cultures and go into a deep analysis of each country's fashion. The official tagline is "when tradition meets fashion".  For audience, my audience type is definitely mass audience because I'm appealing to all people around the world, and not just one specific group of people. I want everyone to learn about new cultures and learn about the type of fabrics and designs they use, as well as how they drape their clothes. I want my magazine to appeal to all genders, ethnicities, and social classe...
