Blog #17: Obstacles
Obstacles
Hey Loves! For today's blog, I will discuss two obstacles I faced when producing this magazine. An obstacle is defined as, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, "something that impedes progress or achievement." There were many obstacles, but two stuck out to me the most.
The first obstacle was having the correct number of pictures I needed during my photoshoot with my mom. We were running late for the event we were going to, and taking photographs took even longer. The photoshoot was rushed, and most of our pictures either came out blurry, the wind was in our faces, or we didn't look good in them. The way I faced this problem was by improvising. Since my feature article is about my 17th birthday outfit and my new car, I took more photos of my car, and I was able to reach the number of pictures needed. This picture below shows the rush because I wasn't in my cultural clothes, so this picture never made the cut.
The second obstacle I had was rearranging my table of contents completely. Since I don't have many stories in my magazine, a 2-page spread for my table of contents wasn't necessary. I then realized this may mess up the flat plan that I've created. I fixed this issue by simply making that extra page an advertisement. This picture shows an "X" on the 3rd box. The "X" will be the new advertisement, and I used this updated plan as my further reference when creating the magazine.
