Hey loves! For this blog, I will be sharing the 2-page spread I created. I am pretty happy with the final product and so glad to share it with you all. 

Some of the conventions this spread includes are the page numbers, a feature article title, a sub-title, a byline, captions, the actual article, and relevant pictures. This article can appeal to mostly teenagers, boys, and girls, but it can also appeal to adults because of what both cover models wear. These photos best represent my spread because it includes the cultural aspect of my magazine in the fashion sense and the trendy and fun aspect of it as well. There are a few things I would change. For example, the background color, fixing the positions of the photos, making the captions smaller, and maybe adding a sidebar.

Blog #7: FlatPlan

  Flat Plan Hey everyone! Today I'm going to be showing you my flat plan for my magazine. The flat plan is a page plan of a publication that shows how the articles and advertisements are laid out and the order it is supposed to go in.  So, for my Flat plan, I decided to add 2 feature stories and 4 sub-stories. I also added 9 advertisements as well as a crossword puzzle and a word search. As I was making this, I came across a struggle of being able to only do desi clothes. So, in the future, I might add other cultures and change the title of my magazine, so it isn't zoned in on one particular culture. But for this "issue", I can feature a certain country or countries, this one being India and all the Southern Asian countries. The word search and crossword can include other countries and different types of clothing items different cultures wear.

Blog #12: Magazine Style Guide

  Magazine Style Guide Hey guys! For today's blog, I have created a magazine-style guide on Canva. I made this to show y'all the style I want my magazine to be and improve my Canva skills. I named all the fonts I wanted to use for the elements of my magazine. I included the MastHead, Coverlines, Article headlines and subheadlines, and the caption details and headers. I wanted to use neutral colors for my color palette but add details that would also make it pop.
