Image
Creative Critical Reflection/ Final Blog Hello loves! I have some good and some bad news. The good news is that I have officially finished the production of my magazine, and I have created this Creative Critical Reflection, which is just the video linked below of me answering a few questions, explaining the conventions of my magazine, and showing the final product. The bad news... this is my last blog. I am so glad you guys came along on this mystical journey with me as I created my magazine, and I hope you all love the magazine cover, table of contents, and 2-page spread I made. This is Sarah, signing off. Cover Table of Contents 2-Page Spread

Blog #21: Reflection Planning

Image
Reflection Planning Hey loves! For this blog, I will tell you about my creative, critical reflections and plan. According to the AICE Media Studies AS Level syllabus, "On completion of the product, candidates must creatively reflect upon their work. Candidates may use any digital format, such as director commentaries, a presentation with voiceover, podcasts, or screencasts. Candidates may use a different digital format to explore each of the compulsory questions. The creative critical reflection should be produced and presented individually."  Question 1: What format will you follow for the creation of your project? I will be making a presentation with my voice over it.  Question 2: How will you incorporate examples and/or explanations for your responses to the required questions:  Question 3: How will we access your presentation? My voiceover will be uploaded to Youtube, and the link will be posted on my next blog.

Bog #20: Magazine Spread

Image
Magazine Spread Hey loves! For this blog, I will be sharing the 2-page spread I created. I am pretty happy with the final product and so glad to share it with you all.  Some of the conventions this spread includes are the page numbers, a feature article title, a sub-title, a byline, captions, the actual article, and relevant pictures. This article can appeal to mostly teenagers, boys, and girls, but it can also appeal to adults because of what both cover models wear. These photos best represent my spread because it includes the cultural aspect of my magazine in the fashion sense and the trendy and fun aspect of it as well. There are a few things I would change. For example, the background color, fixing the positions of the photos, making the captions smaller, and maybe adding a sidebar.

Blog #19: Magazine Table of Contents

Image
Magazine Table of Contents Hey loves! In this blog, I will show you my final Table of Contents. I am super happy with how it turned out and excited to show you how it turned out! The organization of my table of contents appeals to my target audience as clean, precise, and minimalistic. Out of all the stories listed on my table of contents, the "Spring Fashion" headline would have been fun to do my cover story on. I didn't do this headline because I would have had to do a photo shoot one day with all my friends from different countries, and everyone's schedules didn't align. Something I would change about this table of contents is the background color into something from my chosen color palette.

Blog #18: Magazine Cover

Image
Magazine Cover Hey loves! So for this blog, I will show you my final magazine cover! I put much effort and time into this cover, and I am excited to share my final product with you guys! I chose this photo, in particular, to showcase the cover model in her cultural clothes and to show that she is the official birthday girl. I didn't put any cover lines on my cover to keep the minimalistic and clean look. I only included two feature articles relevant to my 2-page spread on my cover. I would make a few changes to use a different picture and make the bar code a different color.

Blog #17: Obstacles

Image
Obstacles Hey Loves! For today's blog, I will discuss two obstacles I faced when producing this magazine. An obstacle is defined as, according to the Merriam-Webster dictionary, "something that impedes progress or achievement." There were many obstacles, but two stuck out to me the most.  The first obstacle was having the correct number of pictures I needed during my photoshoot with my mom. We were running late for the event we were going to, and taking photographs took even longer. The photoshoot was rushed, and most of our pictures either came out blurry, the wind was in our faces, or we didn't look good in them. The way I faced this problem was by improvising. Since my feature article is about my 17th birthday outfit and my new car, I took more photos of my car, and I was able to reach the number of pictures needed. This picture below shows the rush because I wasn't in my cultural clothes, so this picture never made the cut.  The second obstacle I had was rea...
